Mara Consulting expands services, moves into New Brunswick with Bustin Consulting Ltd. acquisition

Mara Consulting (Mara) has expanded its services into risk management, enhanced its privacy capabilities, and moved into the New Brunswick market with the acquisition of Moncton-based Bustin Consulting Ltd. (BCL).  Kim Bustin, BCL’s founder, will join Mara’s leadership team as a Principal.

This addition will provide Mara and former BCL clients across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with new and stronger service offerings, while retaining the customer service excellence to which they are accustomed.

Michael Kelly, Principal with Mara Consulting, says, “We’re extremely pleased to have Kim join Mara.  She’s built a very successful privacy and risk management practice in New Brunswick because of her deep knowledge and expertise in the field.  Her ‘do what’s right for the client’ approach aligns perfectly with Mara’s philosophy. In addition to our existing business, IT and project management service offerings, this exciting alliance will further establish Mara as the ‘go-to’ privacy consulting firm in Atlantic Canada.”

“I am looking forward to joining Mara as part of their leadership team,” says Bustin.  “We’ve collaborated in the past on projects and I’ve seen first-hand how Mara’s core values match my personal values.  Together, we’ll be able to offer more services with greater depth and make a real difference for all of our clients in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.”
