Amy is a certified privacy professional with ten years’ experience in the information and data privacy space. Prior to joining Mara, Amy was an Information Governance Specialist with one of the world’s leading global law firms. Here, she helped advise clients across industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology and media about global information governance compliance.
Amy holds a Master of Information (MI) and a CIPP/C certification. She has a background in privacy, records and information management, AI governance, knowledge management and user experience design. She is experienced in advising clients in the areas of data privacy, data localization/residency/sovereignty, records and data retention, data minimization, cross-border transfer, media/format compliance, risk mitigation and digital transformation. This includes the development of information and privacy management programs and policies and global retention schedules, as well as governance frameworks relating to information, data, and AI. Amy also has significant experience in legislative review and analysis, allowing her to provide clients with practicable, holistic advice balancing legal requirements, best practices, and organizational needs.
Amy is passionate about information governance and enjoys working closely with clients to design and implement human-centred solutions for application throughout the information lifecycle. Outside of work, Amy can be found spending time with her family and two dogs.
