Consultant, Privacy & Information Governance

Amy is a certified privacy professional with over six years’ experience in the information and data privacy space, most recently as an Information Governance Specialist with one of the world’s leading global law firms. Here, she helped advise clients across industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology and media about global information governance compliance. 

Amy holds a Master of Information (MI) and a CIPP/C certification. In addition to privacy, she has a background in records and information management, knowledge management and user experience design. She is experienced in advising clients in the areas of data privacy and localization, records and data retention, data minimization, cross-border transfer, media/​format compliance, risk mitigation and digital transformation. This includes the development of information and privacy management programs and policies and global retention schedules. Amy also has significant experience in legislative review and analysis, allowing her to provide clients with practicable, holistic advice balancing legal requirements, best practices and organizational needs. 

Amy is passionate about privacy and enjoys working closely with clients to design and implement human-centred solutions for application throughout the information lifecycle. Outside of work, Amy can be found spending time with her family or hanging around the arena – both on and off the ice.
