Cody Carvalho (He/Him), HBComm, CIPP/C

Cody is an experienced privacy and access management professional with 10 years of experience developing and managing comprehensive privacy programs in the policing, healthcare, provincial regulatory, and financial services industries. He is solution-oriented and has a proven track record in privacy impact assessments, program development, and privacy breach/​complaint management; and brings extensive experience dealing with provincial and federal privacy regulators on various complex matters.

A positive, collaborative, and seasoned communicator with a polished ability to navigate and distill intricate concepts to his clients and stakeholders, Cody is passionate about helping his clients and team succeed. Over his tenure, Cody has led and supported numerous privacy and access projects including virtual healthcare platforms, police body-worn cameras, contentious regulatory investigations and breaches, and training initiatives. 

Cody holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (HB Comm) from Lakehead University and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) certification. In his personal time, Cody enjoys cooking, staying active, and spending time with his family (which includes a miniature dachshund named Ralph and a cat named Guinness).
