Robert joined the Mara team as a Privacy Consultant after 15 years of privacy and access experience as a representative of both oversight and government organizations in the Nova Scotia public sector. With a wealth of experience in privacy and access to information, Robert brings a unique and valuable perspective to the challenges his clients face, and a passion for service excellence.

Later he joined the Department of Service Nova Scotia where he supported a range of public sector clients and teammates through privacy challenges large and small, a high caseload of access to information requests, and the introduction of a new case management system.
Robert holds a Master of Arts (History) from Dalhousie University and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) certification. In his down time, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, and staying active with as much hockey ice time as he can get.
