To support our growth, we are searching for an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. As part of a growing and well-respected team, you’ll work with clients in the public, healthcare, and private sectors. You’ll collaborate with a seasoned team of professionals with backgrounds in project management, change management, service design, risk management and technology, and ​‘lived’ experience, who have your back and value your contributions.

What We’re Looking For

As a Mara Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you’ll bring a broad set of skills, knowledge and experience in IT solution and technical architecture with a focus on cloud-based solutions. You will work with our clients to prepare cloud strategies and plans, and design and deliver digital services to support their current and evolving business needs.

You’ll have exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate and apply appropriate architecture frameworks and concepts clearly to the help our clients think through their most pressing challenges. As a self-starter who is detail-oriented and flexible, you will take on various types of projects based on the priorities of our clients. In all the work that you do, you will be encouraged to think creatively and resourcefully. As a complement to our existing team members, we are looking for that special person who is energetic and fun-loving, but passionate and serious about the work.

We’d like to hear from you if you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or a combination of a two-year technical diploma and relevant experience.
• 10+ years’ experience architecting and implementing solutions involving major cloud platforms in a production environment. Preference given to those with public sector and / or healthcare project experience.
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Cloud Architect, preferably in an enterprise environment, with extensive experience using cloud networking, containerization, and storage solutions.
• Strong proficiency in building infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Familiarity with general DevOps operations.
• Experience with most of the following:
  • Designing highly available, multi-region network topologies (hub-and-spoke, hybrid cloud connectivity).
  • Optimizing distributed storage solutions with strict lifecycle and encryption governance.
  • Orchestrating cloud-native applications via container frameworks. with federated authentication, role-based access control and attribute-based access control.
  • Designing zero trust security architectures, conditional access policies, and secrets management.
  • Designing observability strategies using log aggregation and metrics dashboards.
• Experience contributing to enterprise cloud architecture initiatives and programs that support business priorities and roadmaps.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including cloud engineers and stakeholders to design and implement cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience in communicating technical / data concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
• Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills that you can to tailor to the needs of the audience.
• Strong consultative skills, including facilitation, issue identification and resolution, and problem solving.
• Exemplary client service skills and ability to collaborate with people at all organizational levels.

Assets:

• Experience in the public and/​or healthcare sectors
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7 / FHIR
• Microsoft Azure and / or Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications
• Data architecture and/​or engineering certifications
• Machine learning / artificial intelligence experience, including Model Fine-Tuning and Optimization, Prompt Engineering and Workflows, AI-Assisted Development, and AI Ethics and Compliance
